前NBA球星「魔獸」霍華德（Dwight Howard）昨（8）日宣布，將來台加盟T1職籃，落腳永豐雲豹職業籃球隊，消息一出馬上引發籃球迷的熱烈關注。而霍華德的來台時間也曝光，緯來體育台官方粉絲團於稍早宣布，11月12日將全程直播霍華德的桃園雲豹加盟記者會，《三立新聞網》當天也會全程直播加盟記者會，球迷可以準時收看。桃園永豐雲豹職業籃球隊今（9）日也於晚間宣布，霍華德 （Dwight Howard）將於11月10日晚間抵達台灣。

桃園雲豹宣布NBA球星「魔獸」霍華德將加盟，雲豹總經理蘇翊傑也在記者會上表示，霍華德來台確認披上12號球衣，且打滿完整賽季，雙方有共識不公開薪資，不過蘇翊傑也在記者的追問下透露大概數字，「絕對超過20（萬）美元（約640萬新台幣）。」
